Hello Benjamin.   Viessmann Belgium said to me that geofencing does not work in Smart Climate. The feature supposedly just isn't there, no matter which language or region!   Please try to look at it from my point off view. I've payed a lot of money for a Viessmann installation which I will have to use for the next 10-15 years. It is riddled with bugs and missing features which I've described many times before: lack off pump logic, short cycling issues, no room compensation, unreliable servers, almost no support, failing component connections, very basic Vicare app with a lot off missing features (no timer, no graphs, no away-mode, ...), no geofencing, no google home or apple homekit support and so on.   You have a support role. I assume you know the right people within to company to address. To report all these issues, follow them up and make sure they are being addressed in a timely matter. But nothing is happening but constant finger-pointing and complete ignorance!  Also why always this distinction between regions? It's not like every country has it's own isolated Viessmann software R&D team!   I will keep addressing all these issues here and through Viessmann Belgium as well. But please act! ... Mehr anzeigen

The only other thing I can think off is placing a a timer on the electricity wall outlet to the boiler.   Everyone who reads this should contact there local installer and Viessmann department and keep addressing the issue until they finally listen. This behavior is unacceptable and I think even illegal in a lot of countries. They cannot sell this with an A-class energy label while the pump keeps on running for no reason! ... Mehr anzeigen

Vicare Smart Climate users do not even have the geofencing option! Also there are no plans to add this. This was confirmed to me by Viessmann Belgium.   I hope and wish in 2022 Viessmann will finally start listening to its clients. Vicare needs a thorough functional redesign. Enabling the user to not waste heating energy when he has no need for it should be front and center! And all features should be implemented in a coherent and geographically independent way! Vicare has no support for any kind of "away/eco-mode". Actually Vicare does not accommodate in any way to deviate from the fixed time program. Basically the only thing you can do is lower the temperature manually to the minimum temperature when leaving the house. For Vicare Smart Climate users this is even extra frustrating as you need to lower each active room manually.   It seems there has gone no functional design whatsoever into the Vicare app. I've been lobbying to fix this and many other things for almost a year. This is currently not possible. Not in a regular setup or even in Vicare Smart Climate when all thermostats are known to be fully closed. Basically during the heating season the pump will keep running almost 24/7. Viessmann does not seem to care about our energy bill or component wear.   I've been lobbying for this (and a lot of other broken/missing things) for almost a year. First they said an update would arrive in august 2021 to fix this, then in december 2021. Both have passed and no update. I don't know anymore if and when it will arrive. ... Mehr anzeigen

Could someone from Viessmann respond? Why is it every time so hard to get a (decent) response? I also believe the firmware is universal and not market specific so please not the regular excuse "ask your local Viessmann branch". ... Mehr anzeigen

It seems that the valve logic is different after this update. Actual temperature started at around 18 °C, requested 21.5 °C and the motor position does not go above "Medium". Even with the temperature control set to "very fast". Before this update this would go to "fully opened" as you would expect with such large temperature difference. Why is this?     ... I've got a Vitodens B2LF. For this model and all other newer models they had the brilliant idea to drop OpenTherm and KM-Bus entirely (so no more modulating 3rd party solutions) and promote there underdeveloped overpriced Vicare solutions exclusively.   Indeed it has something they call "Plus-Bus". Some proprietary Viessmann nonsense with zero documentation and support that nobody uses. I don't think even Viessmann knows any more what it is. ... Mehr anzeigen

Latest Vitodens 2xx (which I have) do no longer support km-bus, opentherm or any other open protocol for that matter. They force you to buy there own expensive Vicare crap that they barely continue to develop, support and maintain.   Only way for me to use things like tado, netatmo, nest,.. would be with basic on/off control. With my previous Google Nest system I had this once in 3 years, once. With Viessmann I cannot count on both hands any longer how many outages or server maintenance crap I had in 10 months.   The want to play “connected services” and “smart home” with the big boys. But they lack all knowledge in these fields. Better just stick to making boilers and provide us with open protocols so we can buy decent control systems!!! ... Mehr anzeigen
