Modbus between smart meter E380CA and Vitocal 222S

Hello,

I am a satisfied owner of a VITOCAL 222‑S 8 kW heat pump, serial number 7727864208396124, equipped with a Vitotronic 200 WO1C controller (see attached photo). I have recently had photovoltaic solar panels installed and I would now like to improve my self‑consumption rate.

I have purchased and connected a Viessmann E380CA energy meter (see attached photo). Following the wiring diagram provided with the meter, I was unable to establish a valid Modbus connection, as the heat pump returns a “Modbus participant” error.

I would like your assistance to finalize this Modbus connection.
Could you please detail the Modbus cable wiring on both the meter side and the heat pump side?

Der Zähler E380CA nutzt das CAN-Bus-Protokoll zur Kommunikation, nicht Modbus.
Nur Geräte der neuesten OneBase-Generation verwenden das CAN-Bus-Protokoll für die Kommunikation; daher ist der Zähler nicht mit Geräten kompatibel, die über eine Vitotronic-Regelung verfügen.

Der CAN-Anschluss an der Vitotronic-Einheit ist nicht aktiv.

Mais quelle est alors la bonne solution pour faire remonter vers la Vitocal 222S avec vitotronic 200 les infos dont elle a besoin pour activer l'autoconsommation ?
Je ne vois pas d'autre compteur triphasé Viessmann....

Wenn Sie einen Vitocharge VX3 besitzen, wird der Zähler daran angeschlossen.

Eine weitere Möglichkeit ist die Verwendung der digitalen Eingänge am VT200 WO1C Smart Grid.

Still trying to identify the exact reference of the Saia meter sold as "7506157" by Viessmann....
I have two models (modbus version) on my shortlist... 

• ALE3B5FD00C3A00  (Bidirectionnal and manage only one tariff)
• ALE3D5FD10C3A00 (Unidirectionnal and manage two tariffs)

Can you tell me which one will work with my Vitotronic 200 ?
My aim is to active the function "PV autoconso" of my PAC

It's unclear if Saia puts a special Firmware on 7506157.

If you do not want to do a trial and error,  usage 7506157.

As I know 7506157 supports only one tariff

I'm now looking at a smartmeter 7506157 (initially buyed to Viessmann) now proposed by his owner as "second hand". 
This item has no logo viessmann but the reference Saia ALE3D5FD10C3A00 which, except if I miss something,  is a "Unidirectionnal" meter.   Can you confirm that ?
If yes, is it ok / enough to feed the PAC with the informations needed for running the mode "PV autoconso" ?

Sorry to bother you but I need to avoid a second error after buying the viessmann meter E380 CA which is unadapted to my need... 😉
