Hello Viessmann Support Community,
I would appreciate some technical advice regarding my existing heating system and the options available to improve its operation without replacing the boiler unnecessarily.
My current system details:
Boiler: Viessmann Vitodens 200-W
Model series: B2HB/B2KB
Controller: Vitotronic 200, type H01B
Connectivity module: Vitoconnect 100, type OPTO1
Serial number: xxxxxx
App: ViCare
I have a few questions:
1. Remote ON/OFF control
I use the ViCare app, but I can only access basic heating controls. Is it possible to remotely switch the boiler or heating system completely on and off using my existing equipment? If not, is there a compatible accessory or alternative control solution?
2. Automatic heating-water filling
I currently refill the heating circuit manually when required. I do not have a known pressure problem or water leak, and the boiler is functioning normally. Is it possible to retrofit an automatic filling station, such as the Viessmann Vitoset Füllstation 2.0, to my existing system or an alternative / cheap solution that is reliable? If so, which model or configuration would be compatible?
3. Automatic air removal
Is there a compatible solution to automatically remove air from the heating circuit? Would an air separator or automatic air vents be recommended alongside an automatic filling station, or are these separate requirements?
4. Blocked domestic hot-water supply
The hot-water supply to the sink has been blocked, and I currently use the boiler only for space heating. However, water remains inside the boiler. Could this cause any long-term issues with the boiler, internal components or pipework? The system has been serviced twice since 2025, and no problems were reported despite this change.
I would prefer to retain my existing boiler as long as it remains safe and reliable. I am therefore looking for compatible, cost-effective improvements rather than a complete replacement.
Thank you in advance for your advice.
Many thanks,
Allseitig.

Many thanks, Franky for your response! This is very much appreciated.
Thank you for your reply and clarification, Franky.
I understand that remote ON/OFF control and automatic air removal are not possible with my current setup, and that a filling combination (Füllkombi) can be installed for automatic heating-water refilling.
Could you please clarify which specific materials and components I would need for my Viessmann Vitodens 200-W (B2HB/B2KB) with Vitotronic 200 H01B?
In particular:
Which filling combination (Füllkombi) is compatible with my system?
Would a Viessmann Vitoset Füllkombi be sufficient, or would I need additional components for automatic refilling?
Is there a more affordable but reliable alternative to the Viessmann solution?
Could you please provide the exact product name or article number for the recommended components?
My goal is simply to automate the occasional manual refilling of the heating circuit while keeping my existing boiler.

Many thanks, Frankly! You are the best!!
