API: solar information available in vicare app but can't find it in API

Hi,

I'm trying to use the viessmann API to read information about my installation.

I can read a lot of information on the API like gateways, devices, temperatures, schedules and many otherfeatures of my vitodens 200 installation.

I also want to read the information about my thermal solar installation.
I can read it in the vicare app e.g. information about the collector temperature.

However I can't find this information using the API.

Perhaps I'm searching in the wrong place.
According to the viessmann-Api project in github the feature "heating.solar.sensors.temperature.collector" should exist however I can't find it on this location:

https://api.viessmann-platform.io/iot/v1/equipment/installations/XXX/gateways/XXX/devices/0/features/heating.solar.sensors.temperature.collector

I also have trouble locating values like heating.gas.consumption.heating which I can see in the app as well.

Any hints? thanks.

Hello @BrechtM,

we recently added solar thermal features to the Developer Portal API clients:

heating.solar.pumps.circuit - Shows the status of the solar pump

heating.solar.sensors.temperature.collector - Shows Solar Collector temperature in °C

heating.solar.sensors.temperature.dhw - Shows solar dhw (domestic hot water) temperature in °C

The list of all available data points can be found in the chapter "Data Points" within the "IoT" section of the Developer Portal API Dokumentation: https://developer.viessmann.com/en/doc/iot/data-points

Hellow, please how do i connect vitodens with solar collector viessmann ?I can do everything, but not solar.

Hi @Lukacenko ,

is your solar collector fully installed and are you able to see the information about your solar thermal within the ViCare app?

Please make sure that the solar modules are properly installed and available in ViCare. If this is the case, you should also be able to retrieve the data via API with the features you mentioned.

Because it's a problem, I don't even see in vicar, how to connect vitodens 200 and  vitosol 100 😮  thanks to the answer.

If it is a general question of how to connect the Vitosol to the heating system, I would recommend contacting your local installer or contacting the Viessmann location at your region. I am sure they can support with installing the Vitosol to your Vitodens.

As this is not an API related question, I would close the thread here, alright?
