Vitocal300 BW113 CD 60 A9 error

Hello everybody. Sorry for asking in English - I am not a native German speaker so I would appreciate, if anyone could help me out.

I have a Vitocal300 BW CD60 heatpump, which stopped due to A9 error and will not start automatically. In the fault  message section, there is additional information: A09: comp1. therm   and the date and times. Nothing else. Simple restart for the unit does not help.

It has happened before, but now has become more common and wont resolve by itself anymore.

The pump itself is 10 years old and unfortunately lincenced service providers have  a long que for the repairs...

Thanks

Tom

Hi Tom,

this error message is a central fault. It doesn't give us exact information on what the specific malfunction is.

I'm sorry, but I don't think, that we come to a closer diagnosis via writing here.

There is a chance for your plumber to contact our service center to instruct a technician from us. Perhabs it is possible for us to react a little bit faster to help you in your situation.

Kind regards, °ch

Thank you for a quick reply. Unfortunately the service providers I have contacted are not capable of diagnosing the device or do not handle Viessmann products any more. So at the moment Im completly alone with the problem
Would it be possible to contact you privately to explain the situation a bit further and maybe get some instructions for help from you?

Hi Tom,

the fault A9 is displayed, when the main fuse of the engine is getting triggered. You have to be an electrician, to be able/allowed to check the engine and the main fuse of the engine.

Kind regards, °ch

Thanks for the reply.

Got an electrician to check the compressor - the electircal resistances are OK and does not have a shortcircuit .
The pump has been working now for 5 days but I got the A9 error again.. Seems that pressing one or all of the three relays, it starts starts working again... until the next time.

The problem still persists and unfortunately no service technician has been able to come and check the system - they just dont deal with Viessmann heatpumps anymore. I am in contact with one company but they do not have the service manuals (they used to do Viessmann pumps ) and are now in talks with the Viessmann as I understood. But still, they dont promise anything as the pump itself is old ...

Does behaivour like this show that the pump or the compressor is finished and needs replacements..? Or could there be anything else wrong? Some valves maybe?(the company I mentioned, had some knowledge of valves creating similar symptoms) Anything else I should check?

Or any other ideas I should do or check=
If I can find the problem or root cause, I can get a a technician to change the parts.... I just need to find the problem out by myself or atleast find some instructions how to do it.
Ofcourse the best solution would be to call to a licenced Viessmann technician. but there just arent any..

Hi Tom,

I think there is a problem with the refrigeration cycle, the engine starter or the engine itself. And I don't think that you can handle the repair yourself. Have you already checked other plumbers near your location via https://www.viessmann.de/de/services/partner-vor-ort.html ?

Kind regards, °ch
