Hi, I have a vitocal 222-a awot-e-ac 221.a08 sc that i control via the api to turn on(DHW and heating) or off(standby) depending on the price of electricity by the hour.
I can see that the electric booster heater torns on quite often even when for example the outside temp is -5degc and water heating target is 30degc and current flow temp is 27degc.
What is the logic that determinces when the electric booster heater turn on?
Is there any way I can configure it to be more conservative with the booster heaters?
Hello vpasse,
so that the electric auxiliary heating does not switch on so frequently during hot water preparation, parameter 600D must be adjusted.
This parameter specifies the temperature rise for calculating the heating duration. The respective switch-on time for the DHW heating results from the heating duration.
Guideline value for the setting:
As a guide value for the setting, it can be assumed that 1 kW heat pump output with 100 l water causes a temperature rise of approx. 10 K/h for 100 l of water.
Example:
A heat pump with an output of 6 kW thus achieves a temperature rise of approx. 30 K/h with a storage tank volume of 200 l.
Many greetings
Flo
