Feature request: provide feature name and feature description in the API

In my implementation for openHAB there is currently a file that provides a name and a description for each feature.This information comes from the developer portal IoT-> Datapoints.

Is it possible to provide this information for every feature in the API?

So when there is a new feature available, I need to put the information in the file.

It would be nice if the API provided it.

Hi @rogrun ,

We are constantly working on improving our documentation. If new features become available, we also include a description within the documentation. If you could list the features, for which you are missing a description, we could add them to the documentation.

Currently, the API does not provide the description for the features. The list within the API documentation is everything we have at the moment. I take this feedback and we will evaluate, whether the description of features can be made accessible via API.
