Vitodens 200W : For longer lifetime of boiler is better to stop use of the boiler during summer ?

Hello,

I use my gas Vitodens 200W for home hating and water heating. I have electric boiler for water heating too.

My questing is : What is better to use during summer regarding of lifetime my gas boiler.

1) Is better to continue of using gas boiler to make hot water only ?

2) Stop using gas boiler completelly and use electric boiler only for hot water ?

Hello,

normally it's cheaper to produce hot water with gas, electricity is too expensive.

Work in the summer will not damage your vitodens. When your vitodens is off in summer, the pumps my be not working in the winter.

Es ist teurer, Pumpen und Umschaltventil können über den Sommer festsitzen.

I've noticed last summer that in stand-bye mode my Vitodens 222-F auto switches the valve at around the same time each morning (9AM)...Not sure if it also auto operates the circulation pump...

I've to excuse me. A lot of work in the same time and the wrong answer was born. The arguments of my previous speakers are right.

It's cheaper to produce the hot water with your gas boiler because some hydraulic components can be damaged by the standstill in summer.

Oh, yes, that's correct. If you dont't shut it down completely, there's an function to provide the valves und pumps from clinging. (I hope this word ist correct) 😉
